WWE Fastlane: Rollins retains, Rhodes and Jey Uso new tag champs

We have new WWE Undisputed Tag Team champions, and it came in their first ever match together.

Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso took on all members of The Judgment Day to survive and dethrone Damian Priest and Finn Balor to become the Raw and SmackDown tag champs. Priest, also the holder of the Men’s Money In The Bank briefcase, injured his leg during the match, thus leaving him compromised throughout the battle.

That compromise might’ve meant for a missed opportunity, as Seth “Freaking” Rollins and his injured back took on Shinsuke Nakamura in a rematch in the main event — a “Last Man Standing” match, to be exact. Rollins took a ton of damage throughout the contest from Nakamura, but Rollins tied together a pedigree on the sound stage and then the Falcon Arrow off the stage and through the table to leave Nakamura down for the 10-count.

Rollins was hobbled, but no cash-in took place.

So what’s to make of all the drama from Fastlane? Mike Coppinger breaks down all of Saturday’s action from Gainbridge Fieldhouse, including an impressive showing by John Cena and LA Knight.
