James Corden may be gone, but there’s about to be a new late night host in town.
In the Late Show clip above, Stephen Colbert announces comedian Taylor Tomlinson as the host of a new show called After Midnight, which will follow directly on from his in the 12:37 a.m. slot on CBS. Tomlinson literally found out she got the job yesterday — as evidenced by Colbert’s amusing screenshot from the Zoom call in which he broke the news — and she says the main thing she’s excited about is just having a job.
“I’ve never had a real job!” says Tomlinson, going on to tell the audience she’s 29, and has been doing stand-up since 16. “If you don’t know who I am, don’t worry. I barely know myself.”
Tomlinson has two Netflix stand-up specials, Quarter-Life Crisis and Look At You, and two more in the works.
