Have you been wanting to jump into the second game in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy but decided to wait for the price to go down? Well, you’re in luck, friend. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is currently discounted from its usual $70 PlayStation 5 game price tag, and will now run you $55 instead.

The sale is going down at Amazon and GameStop (thanks, GameSpot), and if you want to save a few more dollars, pre-owned copies will run you $49.99 and GameStop Pro members can also shave an additional $2 off that price. Rebirth is a long game (perhaps too long) so you’re getting a lot of RPG for relatively cheap with this sale. However, despite what GameStop’s listing says, do not play Rebirth if you haven’t already played Final Fantasy VII Remake. This is the second entry in an ongoing tale, as Square Enix has spread the original game’s story across three games. Parachuting into Rebirth will be disorienting, and anyone who tells you otherwise is setting you up to have a worse time on purpose. You shouldn’t trust anyone who tells you that. They’re not your friend.

If you never got around to playing Remake, the original PS4 version runs $29.99 on the PlayStation Store, or you can play it for free as part of the PlayStation Plus Extra subscription. If you actually own the PS4 version (as opposed to having access to it through PlayStation Plus), you can upgrade to the PS5 version for free.
