Creepy kids, imaginary friends and folk horror combine in the trailer for Starve Acre, Daniel Kokotajlo’s adaptation of Andrew Michael Hurley’s chilling novel.
The trailer above sees Richard (Matt Smith) and Juliette (Morfydd Clark), a 1970s rural couple doing their best to deal with their young son’s strange behaviour and new “friend”, Jack Grey.
There’s some body horror thrown in for good measure too, so best to avoid this one while you’re eating.
Starve Acre is available in UK/Ireland theaters from 6 September, and streaming on BFI Player from October 21.
