BookTok’s favorite author Colleen Hoover comes to the big screen this year with the movie adaptation of her bestselling novel It Ends With Us.
Blake Lively leads the film as Lily Bloom, owner of a Boston flower shop. (Named Lily’s Bloom, of course.) She hits it off with her first-ever customer, charming neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid (Justin Baldoni, who also directs), sparking an intense connection.
However, their romance sours as Ryle’s more violent side emerges, reminding Lily of her traumatic childhood and her parents’ abusive dynamic. As she struggles to navigate her fraught relationship, Lily reconnects with her first love, Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar), prompting an important choice for her future and her family.
It Ends With Us hits theaters Aug. 9.
