Apple’s Black Friday deal is all about gift cards

It’s the time of year when Apple becomes just a little more generous, for a very short while.

The company has announced its Apple Store Shopping Event, which is Apple lingo for a Black Friday sale. Apple’s sales this time of year are typically very simple affairs, and this time is no different: Starting November 24, buyers of eligible products will get gift cards with value of up to $200.

How much you get depends on what you buy, of course. If you decide to get a MacBook Air or a Mac mini, you can get a $200 gift card. Buy an iPhone 14, 13, or SE, and you can get a gift card worth up to $75. For iPad purchases, Apple will give you a gift card worth up to $100; for AirPods, you’ll get up to $75, and you can get a gift card up worth up to $50 for buying Apple TV 4K, HomePod, Beats products, or select Apple accessories.

There are a few caveats; the event isn’t live yet (it starts on November 24), and not all products are included. Apple specifically mentions some products such as the iPhone 14 and the MacBook Air, but omits others, such as the iPhone 15, and MacBook Pro.

Good news, however, is that you can get discounts on Apple products in other ways. We recommend you start with our mega list of Apple related deals here, where you’ll find Apple products with savings of up to $1,000.
